Fall Color Combinations with Encore Azalea

As the weather cools down, it’s time to think about warming up the landscape with earthy autumnal hues.
This season is known for evoking feelings of nostalgia with the sight of colorful leaves, acorns crunching beneath your feet, and the scent of pumpkin spice. Amplify this essence with the evergreen foliage and blooms of Encore Azalea. Fall is the perfect time to plant these super-blooming evergreen shrubs to ensure seasonal interest throughout the holiday season. Red and white flowers in a basket on a front porch. Short on space but still want seasonal charm? Revamp containers with dwarf varieties combined with fall annuals like pansies, dianthus, or ornamental peppers. And who could forget perfect petite pumpkins? Add a handful of on-trend white mini pumpkins for an elegant fall flair. We spun the color wheel for festive fall color combinations, and some perfect pairs rose to the top! With your favorite Encore Azalea as an anchor, get the look with these companion plants: A bush with orange and yellow leaves. Red and Orange – The trees set the tone with this classic pairing: red and orange are time-honored fall tones that never go out of style. Try creating a color echo with Autumn Embers® or Autumn Fire® adjacent to a Japanese Maple or ‘Kaleidoscope’ Abelia. A close up of a yellow bush in a garden. Purple and Yellow – This trending combination is quickly becoming a fall staple with its invigorating effect. Infuse your landscape with a little regal elegance by setting Autumn Royalty® amongst yellow mums, Goldenrod, or Touch of Gold® Holly. A bush with white flowers in front of a white picket fence. Pink and White – For a gently energizing space, pair pale pinks with crisp whites. This classic combination lifts the deeper amber and brown hues that emerge in the landscape as autumn leaves fall from the trees. Pair the ruffled white blooms of Autumn Moonlight® with the sweet pink petals of Autumn Debutante® to get the look. There are plenty of Encore varieties that offer compelling winter foliage, and every Encore is evergreen. With Autumn Carnation®, deep green glossy foliage turns purple with cooler temperatures. Autumn Fire® has dark green leaves that transform to a saturated purple bronze in winter. To brighten up a dull space, try the lime green variegated foliage of Autumn Moonstruck™. With a variety of colors and sizes to choose from, there is an Encore Azalea that is perfect for every landscape. Encore Azaleas are beautiful and easy-care shrubs that can be enjoyed all year, with lush evergreen foliage and three seasons of blooms (and yes, that includes you, autumn!).
"Encore Azalea is one of my favorite shrubs in landscape design. I love that it is hardy, low maintenance and above all, you can have a multitude of colors to choose from. My clients love them too. You won’t be disappointed."
