Every awards season in the arts and entertainment world, celebrities of all ilk strut down the red carpet in their glitzy, most glamorous garments. But these stars of screen and stage will have to get ready to share the spotlight with the latest in horticultural haute couture. The four newest varieties in the Encore Collection of Reblooming Azaleas are about to hit the runway!

While these varieties are stealing scenes with their gorgeous blooms and sparkling colors, the foundation of their success is in their bones, with excellent growth habits and fantastic garden performance.

Let’s take a look at the starlets and their attributes as they swagger their stuff:

A path lined with pink and white azaleas leads to a white brick house, featuring potted plants and a red foliage plant near the entrance.

Autumn Starburst® walks the runway to an explosion of fireworks. At least, that’s what the dark pink and white bicolor blooms feel like! The flowers’ semi-double nature amplifies Starburst’s impact, giving this dwarf variety a larger-than-life influence in any garden setting. Topping off at a 3 ft. height and 3.5 ft. width, this variety sparkles in patio pots, porch containers, and garden beds. Hardy in USDA Zones 6a-10b.

Autumn Majesty® adds pizazz with dark purple. The star of every party, Autumn Majesty brings the celebration with glowing masses of petite purple petals and a touch of a ruffle on each bloom. The semi-double flowers are highlighted by evergreen foliage that envelopes the compacted and rounded shrub. Use this 3 ft. x 3 ft. dwarf variety whenever your stage direction calls for drama. Hardy in USDA Zones 6a-10b.

Autumn Bonfire® is set to give the actual red carpet a run for its money! The deep and dazzling burnished red semi-double and single blooms will set any garden bed, patio, or deck ablaze with a halo of color. A dwarf variety, its 3 ft. x 3 ft. frame is draped in bright-green evergreen foliage year round. This is a starlet that’ll leave its mark in your memory even when not in bloom. Hardy in USDA Zones 6a-10b.

Autumn Fire® is that dark and fiery diva that audiences can’t take their eyes off of. Cloaked in a mantle of semi-double, true-red blooms, its Fire’s glossy, dark green foliage gives it a brooding character, even more so when it deepens to a purple bronze in winter. Fire packs a punch more than its 2.5 ft. x 3 ft. dwarf frame is expected to. Hardy in USDA Zones 6a-10b.
