Loxley, Alabama — Encore® Azalea, the world’s best-selling multi-season blooming azalea, is holding a naming contest to help name one of the newest Encore Azalea varieties, which will debut in retail stores Fall 2012.
The variety to be named is a new pink variation on Autumn Amethyst, one of the most cold-hardy Encore® Azaleas. Its single-form pink blooms are 2 inches wide, and this new Encore® Azalea grows to 4 feet tall and wide.
The contest runs October 25th through November 14th. The winner of the naming contest will receive 10 3-gallon Encore® Azaleas.
Encore® Azalea has announced that four new varieties will debut in the collection and be available in retail stores Fall 2012. The new varieties offer even more color and size options, and cold-hardiness to USDA zone 6A.
To enter the contest and share your favorite name with us, simply fill out the information below no later than November 14th. Please note that the name you submit will be paired with Autumn.
